We had a good send off and a few tears as we said goodbye to Allen & Marlene at Melbourne Airport, making sure we also said goodbye to all the dogs, Ossa, Josie, Molly and Sarah....
Another amazingly damage free flight from Sydney to Bangkok, however the swerving of the 747 as it landed was a little scary... We were seated at the back, so probably enhanced even more. We have been very lucky with the bikes and equipment whilst flying and also with not being charged with our weight... As we went through customs at 4am the one custom officer asked "bicycles", whilst pointing at the boxes, to which we answered "yes". "Good" he said and gave us a massive grin and then turned around back to his computer game of pinball... It was here that Robbie and Bo (his mate) spend their weekends to get away from the pupils, so off we went on the friday night with them to Ao Nang for some mega Pad Thai and Banana & Chocolate Roti Pancakes....mmmmmmmm
These beaches can only be reached by long tail boat and it was here that we spent a few nights relaxing in our little beach hut listening to the ocean lap against the shore, whilst the local Rasta community listened to Bob Marley until 12am most nights...
Over the week we swam, read (Lord of the Rings full edition & not cycle friendly), celebrated Carls birthday and generally re-couped before the next leg of
