So yesterday was our first full day in Chiang Mai... in the morning we woke up feeling a little worse for wear and I just cant seem to have a ly in here at all. I wake up at like 7 or 8 and am wide awake and so I get up and then by about 12- 1 im dead! Very annoying but its partly to do with the fact that I am getting eaten alive by mosquitos and wake up crazily itchy and need to get up to distract myself!! They arent even attempting to bite Sean! We lay in the same room and I wake up looking like I have some strange spotty disease and he wakes up with nothing! grr!! haha

Anyway.. woke up and walked back to the hostel which we were meant to be in and checked in.. its really nice, we have a little wooden hut and theres a big garden area with music and stuff which is nice.

We were going to rent a moped and have an explore but decided to leave it for today as it was quite late by the time we were ready and we decided to have a walk around the markets and nearby things instead. There is a HUGE market here which sells such nice things, I am looking out for presents for you all and have seen some nice things but I am not sure whether to just wait until we are in Bangkok beacuse its going to be annoying carrying theings around for the rest of the trip. I shall have to see though I guess.

So we sepnt the day wandering around, looked at some temples and went to a few places to get snacks. We then just got some food in the evening from the market and headed back to chill at our place and got an early night as I was absolutely dead by the time it got to the evening.

Had a horrible nights sleep as I kept waking up itching and when I woke up thismorning I realised why! I got bitten about 10 times! I dont understand how they got in though as there were mosquito net things on the windows and door :S and suprise suprise Sean didnt get a single bite! 😞 not fair! I am so covered in deet right now that my eyes are stinging! haha

Anyway were off to find an outdoor pool now (in the sun, not the snow Stephen and Julia!! :D) and then hopefully somewhere for Sean to have a climb later so going to have another quietish one today to try and recuperate some of the money we have overspent the last few weeks!!

Bites
Hellooooo... Once I went to Bangkok, my next stop was down South in Koh Phi phi, then back to bangkok, then on to Sydney. I did the most stupid thing ever! I got to Bangkok and went mad buying things in the markets, including a 14 piece silver cutlery set and a chair (the leather one). I bought so many of my little wooden things that I had to get an extra case. Anyway, I spent the next 3 weeks in hell carrying this all around. I didn't learn, when I was in Brasil 2 years ago I bought 21 pairs of Havianas and had a to carry them around in a massive bin bag for 3 weeks all over and it kept breaking! Wise man say. . .sod shopping and go to the beach instead! Well, if you are up that early at least you can chill on the beach I guess. Arn't you using the mosquito net? That should keep them out - huts on the beach and mesh on the windows = mosi hell! They always will get through that netting and there are probably already a family of 20 living there waiting for the next tourist feed. Going travelling with Sean must be like taking a pet Monkey away, once a day he has to have a little climb. . .and also the insects are not biting HIM - but they are biting YOU a Human - i would have a word ;) Sxx

HAHAHA
Ahh that made me laugh, yes thats probably the problem.. lesson learnt - never go travelling with a monkey or you will get all the bites! I remember that, didnt u get in trouble when you got to Sydney because you forgot to declare you were carrying a ridiculous amount of wood!? hahaha! We are going to tiger kingdom today where you can hold baby tigers! i cant wait!! Although Im not sure whats happened to Sean becasue I said I wold meet him here ages ago and he still hasnt turned up so I think he has got lost! haha. xxxxx

Sean has probably found a little Monkey and run off for some climbing adventures never to be seen again! I got into trouble for carrying wood and also for forgetting to put my huge long sharp steak knives (from the cutlery set) into my main luggage and tried to carry them on as hand luggage and got about 10 Thai security police pointing guns at me and screaming in Thai - quite scary! Then I was taken to a back room and handcuffed to a chair where they tried to tell me (by demonstrating as noone could speak English) that I was going to slit peoples throats on the plane and hyjack it. very funny looking back (like a weird give-us-a-clue), but terrible at the time. In the end I was escorted back to the plane (minus the knives) in handcuffs and gun point and sat in my seat. Everytime I wanted to go to the loo everyone practically jumped out of my way for the next 11 hr flight! ha ha ha
