Well, after a 7 day wait for the ASH to disperse, AT LAST we(Lynn and I) are on our way for a years so called sabbatical, or maybe its a midlife crisis, we'll see.
After all the FCO advice there is no sign of problems in CM as far as we know, however we spoke to a local who said its not good for tourism and is a bit of a knee jerk reaction by the government. Anyway all is good and hectic in Chiang Mai with the monsoon around the corner with temperatures of 38 plus,big difference from the highlands of Scotland.

We thought that monks sat still,but this was ridiculous. 15 minutes later our taxi driver/guide told us he was wax.

but why not take in some of the sights,we're tourists after all!, its Hampton Court Palace by the way.
