Wat Phra that Doi Suthep
This is a close up view of Wat Phra that Doi Suthep, commonly known as Wat Doi Suthep that is on Doi Suthep mountain. The most well-known wat in Chiang Mai about 15 km from the city. Every summer Chiang Mai University students and some tourist trek up the mountain with monks as they ascend to spend a month up at the Wat for their retreat...which we all hope to do with them this trip.
