From the 12th to the 15th April, Thailand seems to enter water warfare!

It has to be the most fun ever, everybody joins in from young to old and business' shut down to participate (or protect their goods!) There is so much water being thrown about its unbelievable!
Äfter just a few steps down the road and you are soaked, so of course we must buy water pistols to join in the festival. Mine was too weak (i thought going small might work in my favour - huge mistake!) So after donating the gun to a kid outside our guesthouse i upgraded my weapon.

The Thais have the element of surprise down to a fine art with the "farang", the older people have small bowls of water and say a blessing in thai before they pour the water down the back of your neck - its only then you realise its ice water and they burst into laughter and smiles!

We had to invest in a waterproof disposable camera for this one so hopefully the best pics will come out from that 😊
