One week in.

hey, bit of an update!
So we met our intrepid group at the new world hotel in bangkok a couple of days ago, really really great people!our tour leaders called jack, he's Thai and lives in Bangkok, such a laugh, bit ditzy and like disapears all the time so me and moira are always like "wheres jack?!?" He loves his hard trance,drum n bass and techno so he's joining us for the full moon party.Anyway so first night we all went out to the shamrock bar which isnt actually that irish and got fairly drunk together, had a meal, foods so good here, and then went clubbing. Very bizzare plus got lost on the way back with matt plastered,not good! We've got a mix of aussie, kiwi, irish, and english on the tour. everyones lovely, get on really well with everyone especially moira, shes irish, loves smoking and drinking,lol.

So then we moved on to a small town and stayed on a boat house on the river Kwai which was cool apart from the bathroom was a bit dodge and we found a cockroach in our room which matt threw in the water to see if they swim(they do damnit!!!). First day we got driven round on bike like tuk tuks to see the war museums for the death railway which was quite interesting. Then we went out for a meal and went to see the fire works display on the bridge over the river Kwai which was amazing, really good show(got pics).

Second day we went to a 7 level waterfall which was beautiful, there were fish in the water so when u got in they nipped you so occasionally you would hear a scream from someone😊 only managed to climb to the 5th level, not enough time to get to the top. We also went on the train along the death railway which was cool!And in the evening again we went for a meal then a few of us went to the market got sooo ripped off but was ok, bit busy and you get stared at a lot.
After shopping got back to rooms to find matt, welsh matt and moyra had dissapeared cos the pub had closed. Very bizzare because it was the kings birthday and they really love the the royal family so they werent serving alcohol after a certain time?? Eventually found them in a small bar out the back behind the a curtain drinking out of cups so they wudnt get noticed, very illegal!!Got quite drunk but anna the owner was lovely, showed us her 6 week old baby(sooo cute!) played some thai games with some italian guy(matt picked him up somewhere?? ) and ended waking up the whole neighbour hood on the way home singing and matt passing out the the promenade😊

Next day we made our way to Chaing Mai, 3 hours on an open bus with a hangover...great. Stopped off somewhere for a rest and then got on the overnight train which was soo much fun!! You get really comfy bunks with curtains. And theres a party carriage at the end where you can drink and listen to music. Me moyra and jack went down to get some beers until matt, matt jess and donna came along(will post pics of them all) Had a laugh cos jacks quite cheeky, moyra and i hid in his bed and scared the crap out of him😊 Really good nights sleep though, best yet! Arrived in Chaing Mai today, been here for a couple of hours, seems nice so far!
Generally going really well, everyones so friendly here, will do anything to help you!We're both well, food is still agreeing with us and they sell lipton lemon ice tea everywhere so im in happy😊 Topping up our tans and matts getting bitten to bits by mosquitos,haha.Going for the trek tomorrow which is gonna be hard but worth it. Jack says that every trek hes done someone has dropped out,eek!But will kep everyone informed!x
