On the way up to Chiang Mai we stopped off for the day at Lopburi to see the monkeys. Not a happening place, the monkeys were the only real thing of interest. They are everywhere and rule the town. We put our bottle of water down for a minute and one of them ran off with it, opened it up and poured it everywhere. There was really not much to do in the evening in this place, no bars, cafes, just market stalls selling food. So we chose to spend the evening with a few tinnies at the train station waiting for the overnight sleeper train to Chiang Mai. We kept ourselves amused with stray dogs, a drunk thai man and a station master who asked to see our ticket well over ten times just so he could keep talking to us!
