Ko Chang Ko Chang Ko Chang

We're going to miss this tropical paradise!
We're now maxing and relaxing here on the lovely island of Koh Chang in Thailand - making the most of the pool, sun and beach before we have to head home! It took a loonngg 13 hours to get here from Siem Reap, but we made it eventually- very tired and very dusty but we made it! We've spent the last three days here just relaxing on the beach, having a swim and generally being lazy! The beaches are excellent and although our first day here was a bit overcast and rainy the following two days have been very hot and sunny.

This morning we got a songthaw to an elephant camp we'd read about- although we didn't want to go trekking on an elephant again (as amazing as it was the first time!) we wanted to see some elephants again before we came home (especially Claire as they're her new favourite animal!) and seen as we were on Koh Chang (Elephant Island) we thought we'd better see some elephants! It turned out to be a fantastic morning- three baby elephants had just been born there- the youngest was just 4 days old and was very wobbly! We had a

One of the three amazing baby elephants- this one was our favourite- kept trying to run around on his wobbly legs!
really great time feeding the mum's banana's and watching the little babies trying to stand up and falling over, learning how to use their trunks, giving them a pat and generally being amazed at how beautiful and how cute they were!

We had last dip in the pool before lunch and we're going to have a nice dinner right on the beach this evening before we have to pack our bags up and leave for Bangkok tomorrow! We have a couple of days in Bangkok to do some shopping and get some bargains hopefully before we come home! As much as we want to see our friends and family's we really don't want to leave Asia or finish travelling! Three months has gone so quickly, we've had an absolutely incredible time and don't want it to end! I guess you have to get back to real life at some point eh?! Definately got the travel bug now and I'm sure we're going to go travelling again (when we've got some money!) and explore some more amazing places😊
