Up early, I went for a run and got a bit lost in the dead end one way street system which meant a supposed 6km became 8 so arrived back pretty tired and flustered. We'd ordered fish curry for breakfast which after a big meal of curry the night before no one really felt like. Anyway couldn't be changed but, frankly, it was a fabulous breakfast. Decided to have a look at the market so got a couple of tuktuks and had a wander around. Went to few more pharmacies on our quest to get replacement drugs for Donna and some antibiotics. All to no avail, it appears the specific drug required is not available in SL. Plenty of alternatives on offer though. Made our way to Barefoot shop which came highly recommended and had a garden cafe attached. Would highly recommend this as a bit of an oasis in Colombo. Food was ok, beer good and the casual garden setting with live band superb. We then dropped Marie and Donna back at the hotel and McVet and I got a tuktuk to the cricket. Sri Lanka playing India in a ODI. Really interesting, outside the ground was very high security (bag

checks, police and army complete with water canon and assorted other equipment) but really friendly and vibrant. Kids selling stickers, face painting, flags anything to support their beloved team and make a quid on the side. We bought two tickets off a scalper, interestingly the tickets were marked complimentary so told scalper we'd be back to see him if they didn't work and took a quick mugshot for security. Unnecessary as tickets worked a treat and we were in and had a pick of seats, the really cheap area $3 per seat or $1 to stand were packed elsewhere was less than half full. Sri Lanka were already 4 - 0 down in the series and despite our vocal support they didn't disappoint being bowled out cheaply and going on to lose comfortably. We went back to hotel and had a moderately good Indian meal with Donna and Marie. So far food has been pretty underwhelming with the exception of the breakfast fish curry.
