My roommate and I at a waffle place near Ehwa womens college Well it seems like here the adventure never ends. To me everyday is an adventure in itself. Friday my roommate wanted to go shopping by Ehwa womens college. We went to the subay station, which is two blocks down and headed out to shop. I never thought that right when I got here I would be doing different things everyday, but I was blessed with someone who knows how to get around a little. The stop for the college is 11 stops away and boy is the ride long and boring. When we finally got there I was happy to see a few others who werent Korean. I have found out that even though you see other people who are Korean they still might not acknowledge you. It is a very busy area and there are a lot of little shops on the roads. The Korean clothing is something that I will have to get used to since most of it I dont like. Well after walking around for hours and having sore feet I bought shoes (size 235 which is 6 1/2 US), sweater, and scarf. I decided that I need to begin to buy some more winter clothes for

This is the shopping area by Ehwa Womens College right now in the day time it is in the mid to low 70's.
I went back by myself for I was going to be taught some more things about my classes. During the whole ride back I was counting every stop and praying that I would not miss my stop. I got off the train and began to follow the signs that said "Way Out." When I came to the upper level and began to look around i noticed I wasnt sure if I came up on the right side. So I walked in one direction for a few minutes till I noticed that this was the wrong way. So I went back into subway area and went out another way. I began to walk for a few mintues and then I noticed that all that I had done was end up on the other side of the street. I began to pray hard then "Lord I need to make it back to my apartment and these people probly cant help me for they might not speak english." I decided to go around the subway entrance. I began to go up a hill and I knew that I have

this is in front of the mall never gone up one before. I prayed even harder. I turned around and then I saw a bowling ball pin ontop of a building. Ahh I have seen that from my balcony then I must go this way. I went down into the subway area AGAIN and then tried another exit and then I saw the shopping mall which is by my place. I began to praise the Lord for I knew how to get their from there. I made it back to my place after wondering around in the streets of Korea for 30mins. I have been lost before, but it is different when you have No One to turn to but the Lord. I am so glad that I serve a true God that hears my prayers and answers.
On Saturday I went to the main school church with a couple that I know from back home. They have been here for a year and the husband works for the army. The church service was good and was translated (praise God). Afterwards we went to the grape farm with some of the Korean elders. It was a looong ride for we were stuck in traffic for hours. after
traveling forver we pulled over on the side of the road to a small hut. we all got out and sat on platform and ate grapes. Afterwards we hiked to the farm and cut off our own bunch of grapes. Then they ate some more. Then we drove back home to seoul. on the way we stopped at a traditional Korean restaurant and ate there. This was my first time eating on the floor in indian style and having dinner. I decided that even though I am young I need to practice being in indian style for a long time. 😊 Afterwards the couple that I came with insisted that I stay the night over with them. They stay on the 23rd floor of this luxurious apartment that has a toilet that has buttons on the side that can do different things. Dont ask what it does for it was all in Korean. They demanded that I stay in their bed for the night. Boy was I in heaven!! The bed was like falling into clouds and it was king size. My bed at the apartment is a twin size bed that is a little softer than a rock. In

This is a picture of the main school campus. (From the left) The church and school the morning the husband cooked omelet, potatoes, and fried bakes (dumpling). I was treated like royalty. They drove me back so I didnt have to ride the train.
On Sunday I went to a drum festival in another city and that was intersting. there were foriegners that performed as well. I can definetly say that Korea is an intersting culture for the things I saw were very different.
Today was my first day of teaching class. I woke up this moring nervous but I kept on praying. I am almost done with my day now and I can say that it was easy. When I started to teach it was like the teaching gene from my mom came out. The students are soo nice. One of the morning classes convinced me not to give them a test to today, but instead learn more about me. The first question most of the classes ask is why did you come here. the second is do u have a boyfriend. lol. The religion class went well as well and they are eager to know other information so pray that He speaks and not I.
