Well, I haven't really been paying attention to what I've been doing very much. Mostly b/c I've been enjoying it too much to stop and think about it. In any case, I'm going to try my best to recreate the past few days. A brief update: I successfully negotiated some WWOOFing (it took me 2.5 hours of strip poker, a swiss army knife, and a polaroid camera), I found the agency that does birth family r... Very fishy
Awesome fish market pic and of course I liked the flower shot flower shot, does that make me gay? Plus the monkey with dramatic lighting was purdy. And the ray shot was coo. You have thoroughly convinced me to never play texas hold'em with you for money. From $100 up to 4 digits!?! Awesome! You better have bought me lots of gifts. I'm glad you found some WWOOF work so you can stay longer. Hopefully they don't whip you while you pull their plow. I will be posting my last blog sometime today. So chickity check it. And finally being home is comforting.

calling all genetics
claire - i'm not in that much of a rush to find my birth parents. in fact, there isn't a burning desire to do so within me. i just figured i should since i'm here (meh, why not). i think that i have a neutral opinion of them without knowing them, and i think as opposed to what it could possibly turn out to be (as good as it could be, perhaps), i'd rather leave it as that. i would like to know who they are though, where they came from, relatives, etc. But as far as meeting, it isn't a very high priority for me. btw - i do have some real parents in the states who are very kind and loving people who did a bang up job, and i'm pretty sure they are proud of me (if not infuriated @ times) :)

Kam (and all), For the record, your parents are proud of who you are, without qualification. Even if we had not the previous 23 years experience watching (helping?) you get to where you are / who you are today, just reading the words you write here is mind blowing enough. You have the unique history of two cultural connections: born Asian and grown American without having been swallowed by either. I envy your opportunity to see into the eyes of your genesis, that you have two worlds to call your own. For the record, I have no anxiety of diminished karmic connection by your seeking of roots. Your birth parents, if you find them, can only gain, as we have , from your love. Let us know your flight number. We will meet you at the airport, again. - Dad

Good to hear
Nice to hear that your enjoying your trip "home". I however hope that the home you grew up in with me and you brother and sister feels just as good. I am amazed at the thing your doing and hope your having fun. I was kinda worried before you left for your saftey in crazy distant lands, but I see you are doing fine. Hope the rest of your travels are safe and exciting. I'm kinda jealous of your trip as you know I always have wanted to go to Japan , maybe someday I will, maybe you can come with me seeing that your this big world traveler now. he he. And you look more japanese than me sometimes (just kidding). See you soon bro.

Free Tibet, but please stay out of their way!
Hey Kamdab, haven't heard from you in a while. Just making sure you don't try to be a rebel and get in the Chinese gov. way and fight for the cause, you hippie. Just play the asian tourist role and snap a thousand pictures. We're all thinkin' about you in S.C. We would love to be by your side, soon come my friend, soon come. Be safe, wish you well. Peace Bro!
