Mike and I spent this past weekend exploring the city of Gyeongju, regarded by many Koreans as one of the most important cities in the country. Gyeongju is about an hour north-west of Yangsan and we got there by bus (the ticket for which cost a mere 3,700W!). This is the place where a Queen was said to be born from a dragon in the well that is now covered here.

It seemed like people actually still live here, so we were actually allowed in this area. Good thing Mike is tall!
