5 days holidays during the holidays

Hey

As it is says in the title, we took 5 days holidays during the holidays. To make it simple, we just travelled a bit in the south of the country during 5 days. We went to Busan in the first time by train (5 hours). It is the second biggest town and the biggest port of South Korea. We went there to visit Ahyoung's cousins. I met one of them (Su-jong) in Australia. We stayed 3 days in Busan. Just went to the beach and visit the town and some more restaurant. In Busan, they have a speciality of noodle. Deliscious.



To sleep, we went to motel (one of the cheapest accomodation) and sauna. As well, for a very cheap price, they propose you to sleep in a big box. It can be good but there is no bed... we didn't sleep there. The motel is good solution but it has a particular reputation : it is the place to have sex.

As I said before, you have to be married to live with a girl, and often once married, you live with the parents (of the man usually). Solution for the korean if you are not married or if you live with the parents, going to the motel! There is an other reason. There is a high percentage of betrayal (40%). The motel is the good place! And that why in front of the car entry, there is a curtain of ropes. It's to be sure that people in the street can't read the identification of the car which is park there. And that's why as well you can read some advertisment in the street for the motel which says you can take a room just for 3 hours...

We went 1 night to the sauna. That really good and cheap solution. You enjoy the sauna, and you sleep there. But :
- When you sleep in the sauna, you sleep on the floor, and your pillow is a peace of wood!!!
- So when you finish your night (I didn't sleep a lot and you can't imagine in how many pieces was my back), the good thing is that you have some spa in the shower room. That is the second problem, the shower room. In this room, everybody is naked. That's not so much a problem you will say. But as european, you are the only one "different"... So everybody look at you. Fortunetly for us, european, nothing to worry about!




Then, we went 2 days in Gyeongju. There, we visited some tomb, astronomical room and temple. The first day, we rent a tandem (bycicle), and the second, we took a bus.
We went back to Seoul in the evening.

Almost a beach for rent
On the beach, you rent the parasol and the rubber ring (bouées jaunes). The parasols are just in front of the sea. If you don't want one, you have to be behind. So you can't see the sea.But I think even when you are under you can't see neither.
If you have good eye, you can see people living and take the space just after them. Like that you don't have to pay.

We went to the sushi restaurant
... but we didn't eat sushi. In fact we ate row fish (poisson cru).We went to a kind of market for fish first and we brought the fish and the others stuff (I don't know what was it, and I prefer that to be like that) to a special restaurant. They prepare everything, you just have to eat. Some pieces were still moving...

It is the oldest astronomical observatory in East Asia. Was built around 640 after JC

Before it was many lake, and the nenuphars growed in. I think it is on purpose. Ahyoung told me that Korean eat part of this plant, but she doesn't like it
