This is my class all dressed up. The girls definately like the fairy/princess theme.
Halloween at the school was lots of fun. Since Halloween fell on a Tuesday and we teach our elementary kids on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, we got to have two parties. The first party was with the elementary kids. I have 4 kids in my E1 class (Elementary level 1), of which 3 dressed up. One was a witch, another was a skeleton and the last was a mini Dracula. I say mini because I also went as Dracula. These kids are nine years old so they are still young enough to have fun, but not get as scared as some of the other kids.

My job for the activity portion of the day was to work at the game station. This job consisted of staying at a certain area in the gym and waiting for the classes to alternate through the different stations. Other stations included face painting, trick-or-treating, Haunted House and Halloween bag making. The game consisted of throwing a Velcro ball at a target. Depending on where it landed, the kids would either get one, two or three pieces of candy. Sooooo exciting…. The best part of the day was when all the classes had finished coming to

Here's a group shot with most of the Kinders. We went for a "parade" to the park across the street, took some pictures then went back to class. Fun times.
the game station and I entered the Haunted House to help scare the children. At first I was planning on taking it easy and not trying to scare the little ones too bad; however, then I noticed Kovats and the Korean staff yelling quite loud and jumping up in little kids faces. I then turned the scare meter up a few notches and tried to actually scare them. All in all, it was a fun afternoon.

On the Tuesday I had the joy of working in the Haunted House throughout all of the class rotations. After briefly working inside the Haunted House the previous day, I was pretty pumped. Since this group was all kindergarten classes the age level was much lower. Lower age group = greater number of crying kids. I didn’t really have to do much; just the fact that a portion of the gym was very dark was enough to get these kids screaming. As they came through, there were usually three reactions: They wouldn’t be too scared and would yell “It’s Mr. Stratie!” they were a little bit frightened but would manage their way through, and finally we had the terrified kids. Although I wasn’t

Here's what I dressed up as this year. A little different from previous years, but still fun. If you were 6 years old, would you be scared??
trying to scare these kids, I’m sure they were absolutely petrified. It was funny though because all the Korean staff and myself included would be laughing. Poor kids…scarred for life. This Halloween wasn’t as crazy as the last few years, but it was certainly fun in its own way. Hopefully you all had a good time too!

Here are a few pictures to look at…
