Jess designed this lesson plan where the kids listen / watch the story of the Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein then learn about things that are the product of trees (even toothpaste!) and then they go through magazines & cut out photos of things made from trees & turn them into these posters.

Building site/sidewalk/pavement = dangerous

I've had nails and other metal objects drop on my head as I walked by... they leave the stuff strewn all over & build random small fires with scraps of wood, plastic, etc. Very different systems in place here.

Cabbage = decoration ? ok Korea.

Sleeping logs
is what it's called round our way and we have a photo of Michael resolutely looking round whilst the rest of his Reception class play obediently. Remember even the awkward ones are lovable! xx
