Hi everybody,
We've landed in El Nido after a 5 hour bus journey. In this part of Palawan, electricity is only on between the hours of 2pm and 6am with fairly frequent blackouts.
That is the only slight negative about this place. We're surrounded by white cliff mountains, clear blue sky and amazing beaches lovely!!
Found a secluded beach on the second day, a short tricycle ride away. We were on the beach for most of the day and only saw a stray dog and two little local kids playing in the sea.
We decided to go back to the same beach today, which was a little busier with a group of 8 local children who came running over once they saw scrabble being played. They sat with us for ages watching and playing sand ball fights whilst asking questions. They tried hopelessly to teach me Tagalog, even at ages of 8-10 their English was very good.
Found another place to stay tonight, cheaper and a lot nicer. Off for dinner now, bringing back some local rum and settle down to play cards ;0)
Speak soon

Wow, wow, wow, and wow again. Now I\'m living the dream with you. Sooooo super excited to see these pictures. I\'m in Spain now. I ESPECIALLY LOVED the back photo of Julian carrying Sarah\'s bag that Lindsey bought..... soooo you Julian. And the photo of Sarah swinging like a monkey from the tree made me laugh OUTLOUD to myself. It was extra special funny because it looks as if Sarah has wet herself!!!!!!! So super super funny. I\'m sooooooo happy that you are now relaxing and enjoying yourselves. Can\'t wait until the next instalment and thanks a MILLION for taking the time out to post these for us all to see. SO VERY SPECIAL xxxxxxxxxxx mum
