In the town of Bato in Catanduanes, you will find the Weather Radar Station of the Philippine (PAG-ASA) perched on top of the hill in the village of Buenavista which has sweeping view of the deep blue sea.

Established in 1968, the radar station underwent rehabilitation and in 2012, a Doppler Station was installed to help the weather bureau in accurate weather forecasting.

In the town center, one can find the St. John the Baptist Church, the oldest stone church in Catanduanes.

And then there is the three-tiered Maribina Falls which can be accessible from the national highway (no need to sweat it out to enjoy the cascading falls and the cool pool of water). It is an enclave surrounded by boulders and trees and cottages.
