BORACAY ISLAND

Of Boracay Island
The First time i laid my Footprints in the Island of Boracay was in 1988, I was Love at first sight, I was in love at the color of the Sea which is Turqouise and it's like Boating on the Clouds, not too mention the Powdery White Sand of the Island and Forest around it with some Ita's on Beach with a Monkey on they're Shoulder.( Ita is a Filipino Aborigines), I remember booking an Aeroflot Airlines ,that flies to Caticlan two times a week, Landing in the Grassy ground of the Airport seeing Carabao's eating the grass, was a bit adventurous ,it's only a small Bamboo Cottage whos guarded of one Person waiting for the Plane to land carrying six Passengers. Only a few Banca's can bring you to Boracay Island at that times, sometimes no Bancas can even take you there.

In Boracay Island at this time was no Electricity, few Cottages and no Restaurants. The Cottages was all made of Bamboos and Cocopalm Roof ,a Swing or Duyan on a Balcony and a very Solemn and Quiet place ,even no connection in the outside World i feel Peace & Relaxing in this Virgin Island, when you wake

up in the Morning the People bring you a Tray with a Thermo full of hot Coffee & Sugar & Milk for Free, direct on your Door and leave it there, so when you wake up you can serve yourself. When you Swim and Walk on the Beach you will see Fishermens with big Fishes on they're Nets and you can buy the Fish and let it Cook by the Place where you stayed for Lunch or Dinner. The People will prepare it for you without any charge and how you want it Grilled or Fry. Swimming in a Crystal clear Water and almost alone is like beeing Stranded in Paradise or better yet Imagining im a Mermaid. I am Falling for this Paradise on Earth, I love the Naivity of this Island so, I Promise myself that one day,i will be back and buy a small Land to Build a small House for my Future..

Future is here and the Enchanted Boracay Change a lot, like most of Tourist Attractions Islands in the World, it change according to the present modern times and to what the Tourist needed for they're Satisfaction must be in the Island , and i

will fully Understand that this big change of Improvement of the Island is also being ready for the Competition in other Islands of the World and losing some of it' Natural Beauty. The Caticlan Airport has been change and it's modernized and it will change continiously i think, it's now under the name of " Boracay Airport", from the Airport ,Trycicles,( tuned Motorbikes carrying passengers with a capacity of four persons) will bring you to the Jetty Port,(around 5 min.drive or you can even walk to the Port) the Gateway to Boracay, Or if you prefer to Arrive in Kalibo Airport which is mostly cheaper Airfare than Caticlan. But if you take the Kalibo Airport you have to Drive the Van in front of the Airport to Caticlan, it's a 150.00p and it takes 2 hrs. to Caticlan Jetty Port. At the Jetty Port, The Boat Fare cost you 25.00p and an Environmental Fee of 50.00p. After passing the Scanner at the entrance and filling up the Form to sign that your a Passenger on the Banca that take you to Cagban Port, the Port of Boracay,,

Boracay now at Present is a Crowded, Island, It's full of everything and

anything, Big Luxurious Hotels is Build on the Island, Malls, Fancy Restaurants, Clubs & Cocktail Bars, Grocery,Markets and Seafood market where you can buy Seafoods and let it Cook in one of those eatery beside the Market, but this time you have to pay for it, and its not a Cheap Island anymore, because of the Celebrity impact and Chic status of the island i found it Overprice, anything what a vacationers or a Tourist needed is Overprice, Boracay is Commercialized and it lost this Natural Island Images..Now you can Compare it to Ibiza of Spain ,eventhough, it's still a Worthy Island to have a Holiday you needed, it defends on your taste.. Now it's a lot of Opportunities and Activities Bombarding you in this Island, a lot of Walking Filipinos by the Bay offering you activities like Off Road Squad Driving, Motorbiking, Ride a Zorb, Bungee Jumping, Zipline, Caving and Island Hoping, Island Hoping is Ok even the Coral reefs of Boracay now is not in a Good Stuation, some Foundation or Concern Citizen is now Constracting a new Coral Reef imitation to build the new Reef, it is now tested and sink in the Deep and The first

colony of Fishes are now living in one of the Artificial Reef and some beautiful living creature and corals are now starting to build and start a new Life on this Newly Constructed Artificial Reef. Thanks to those Conern Foundation, at the Moment I think Fishing is not allowed in Boracay.

There will be a lot of offers on the Whitebeach of Boracay, the most crowded Beach on the Island where you can find all Clubs, Restaurants or almost everything in the Island, A few Elderly Women will ask you a Massage, they do it quiet good, like more Asian Women are, an Hour will cost you 300p, but still try to handle anyway down to 250p, and it is a whole Body Massage, I often do Brades for my Hair ,coz it's easy to manage specially in a Tropical Island like Boracay, you can find them anywhere in Whitebeach with some Pictures of the Hairbrades style you want it, Acctually it defends on the length of your Hair but 500p is an acceptable price. Henna Tattoo is all over The Island, Real Tattoo Salon also, and it is always defends on the design and colors you wanna have, a 1,000p

In Chili Sauce for 200p in a Restaurant in front of Puka Beach
for normal less complicated Tattoo is a good Price. There's also Men's walking selling on the Beach, a Hat & Sunglasses 150p or is ok, Cultured Pearl defends on the size of the Pearl & color, the starting price is 500p or a Set with Bracelet, Earrings and a Ring for less than a 1,000p. Most Favorite color of a Pearl is a Champagne Color & Gray, there's also big Pearls sometimes Multicolored Necklaces, and they will tell it's Southsea Pearl, but i am a bit Skeptic on that but eventhough they really look like a Pearl and they look Fantastic, starting price of 2,000p will be acceptable, Most of Pearl Jewelries are a Good Gift for Families back home. Beware of the Mens selling Imitation Watches telling you they are Originals, they are acctually imitations from Bangkok ,like Tag Heuer or Breitling, I think you know how to diffrentiate Fakes to Originals.but still if you wanna buy one of this Watches a 1,000p will be fine. On the way walking on White Beach is a lot of Stalls and small Souvenir Shops and Half Precious Stones Jewelries, The Exclusive Place to shop is in the Mall, a Trycicle on the
PARAOPARAOPARAO

Relax while Sailing on a Parao
otherside of the Beach will take you there for 15.00p.

Lets forget Shopping on the Beach & go to the Fun side of the Island. There's Jetski, Parasailing, Banana Boat, Kite Boarding and of course a Diving Lessons and many many more Funtastics to do to spend your Day. Parao, is a Sailing Boat with Two Person Capacity ( sometimes i saw 3 or 4),and if you wish a Boatman to Sail your Parao and you just need to lye on the Hanging Nets beside the Parao and enjoy the Breez of the Wind and Barbecue yourself under the Sun, if your a white complexion, please do exagerate on your Sunblock, co'z Philippine Sun is HOTTT..so be Gentle on your Skin and Tanning Slowly. Island Hoping is also an exciting Activities, acctually the Boat cost yo like 1,200p is a good price, and dont forget you pay this price for the Boat and not per Head, most of the Boat capacity is starting 8 Pesons,so to save Money maybe you can join with someone else,it includes Lunch, a Fishfeeding in Crocodile Island (an Island with a shape of a Croco) and the Beautiful place called Crystal Cove,a Place Perfect for

a Picnic ,Picture taking and a Swim in a Cave, at the moment i dont know the exact entrance fee but im sure your Boatman, know it. My favorite Beach is Puka Beach, specially when the Waves are high to be Smashed away from the Waves that rolling me to the Shores feels great, a Comfortable Native Restaurants with Noodles,Fish, Meat and Vegie Recipes are there and they cook good ,i tried 2 of them, and its only 3 Restaurants in front this 2011 in Puka Beach, Puka is acctually a Shell which you can find a lot on this beach and the Sand is Mix with crushed Shell and its also very Panoramic Beach and a Photographers Favorite ,especially the small Cliff on the Right side. and this is a not so Crowded Beach..
