TOUR TO MINE (CHUMAR BAKOOR) IN NAGAR VALLEY

We organize a short trek to the Chumar Bakoor mine in Nagar Valley, which is very famous mine in Hunza-Nagar Valley, located at the altitude of around 4700 M high, belonging to the village of Summyar, a well organized association in the village. Their working season is late July to sometime in October depending over the earlier snow fall of the season. During this period most of the male villagers are on the mine busy with mining in the season. The association of miners in the village made the rules and regulations of mining, well organized and everyone is following that. You may visit to various ruby mines in Hunza Valley at different places in Ganish, Ahmetabad and also may visit to ancient forts in the valley, meet with local dealers of gemstones and visit shops.

ITINERARY:

20th September 2018: Arrival to Islamabad airport and transfer to hotel, in the rest time of sightseeing in Islamabad and Rawalpini, visit of largest mosque in Asia and old local Bazaar
21st September 2018: Drive to Chilas (12 hrs) via Naran and Babu Sar Passon the Karakuram Highway, overnight at hotel in Chilas, view of Nanga Parbat 8125

22nd September 2018: Continue from Chilas to Karimabad-Hunza via Gilgit, overnight at hotel

23rd September 2018: Visits of ruby mines in Hunza Valley, overnight at hotel

24th September 2018: Drive to Summyar, where jeep road ends then walk to Madurkuchi, overnight in the tent

25th September 2018: Trek 5-6 hrs to mine, overnight in the tent

26th September 2018: Day free at mine

27th September 2018: Trek down to the road then drive to Karimabad, overnight at hotel

28th September 2018: Day free to local visits/hotel

29th September 2018: Drive to Chilas via Gilgit /hotel

30th September 2018: Continue to Islamabad via Babu Sar Pass or Karakorum Highway/hotel

1st October 2018: Departure from Islamabad (drop to the airport)

VISA FOR PAKISTAN:

You need visa to enter Pakistan that you can obtain in your home country from Pakistani Embassy or Consulate. There is no any entry at the airport anymore now. At Sost- Hunza ( border with China), there is also no entry visa. Visa policy always changes and if you need any hotel reservation or visa support letter in order to obtain the visa for Pakistan that we can send you from here.
