Paging Mr. & Mrs. Ghalib...from 39,000 feet

During our short Pakistan International Ailrine Flight to Islamabad, an announcement came over the speakers..."Paging Mr. & Mrs. Ghalib...paging Mr. & Mrs. Ghalib"...Galib & I looked at each other in our seats, did we hear that right??? I don't think so. I continued to read my book, "The Time Traveller's Wife", and Galib toyed with the TV screen in front of him. Then a few moments passed by and we heard, "Excuse me, Mr. Ghalib, the captain would like to see you and Madame". We both looked at each other and said ok. We knew our request had been granted from the night before. Galib's sister Farzana had hosted a spectactular Lebanese themed garden party at her residence on Saturday evening, hosted by the Sheraton Hotel. We met so many interesting people, including a senior Pakistan International Airline Pilot and his wife who writes short stories. First Ghalib inquired if Rizwan would be our pilot and then teased if we could see "up front" since we were flying to Islamabad. Rizwan was in fact flying to Saudia Arabia today, but he didn't forget us! Galib and I eagerly went to the cockpit door and the captain let us sit inside. We took a few photos from the best view in the house of this Boeing 777. Enjoy!
