Nicolle & Sam with Rumdoodle Foot, Kathmandu, Nepal
Today began with an early start, as we had an all day bus ride to Kathmandu. We stopped in a small town, ate our yummy lunchboxes supplied by the hotel in Chitwan & arrived in Kathmandu around four. After checking into the Hotel Harati Sam, Deb & I went on a mission to find Cosmic Air & sort out Sam's Kathmandu to Delhi flight, scheduled for three weeks time. I'd found out roughly where the office was located, but became worried when the United Airlines staff I asked directions from told me Cosmic Air had closed down. We found the office & unfortunately Cosmic Air was in fact closing down & today was their last day of business; so Sam currently has no way out of Kathmandu! Decided not to panic just yet; we'll check the intenet or enlist a local travel agents help & should find a seat no problems. Fortunately we have three weeks to make alternate arrangements, so that should be plenty of time.

Our expedition took longer than anticipated, so we had about five minutes to freshen up before meeting in the lobby to go to Rumdoodles for our final group dinner. Hannah took us the

scenic way to the restaurant so we could check out the sights & smells of the Asan Market. Unfortunately she got disoriented & had to discreetly ask me for directions. By dinner time, most of the group had clued onto the fact she'd gotten lost & we all had a good laugh about it. Meanwhile, my thoughts of becoming a tour leader in Australia have increased, but home's a long way away, so I'll see how I feel about it then.

Dinner at Rumdoodles was awesome. The food & band were great & the owner (who was VERY drunk), insisted on buying our table rounds of drinks. He kept feeding Hannah TRIPLE B52's, one of which she managed to palm off onto me. We all signed the obligatory Rumdoodle Foot, naming ours the 'Sit Down & Shut Up Tour.' Don't know what time we carried on to (closing time), but had a mad rickshaw race back to the hotel. Unfortunately we didn't win because our driver spent more time trying to look up Sams skirt than he did focussing on the road! I gave him a clip around the ear & told him off for being rude - thankfully
