We have three rooms and they were very basic and scruffy which is to be expected given the remoteness and poverty in the village. Bob and Tom shared, Hat and Cas and Ed and I. As I took the toiletry bag to the ladies room, they opened the door and quickly summoned me in for help. 'There's a leech', they cried! Cas had found it when she popped off her sock. After the leech was thrown outside, Cas asked me to check her all over for any other leeches. There was an almighty shriek, 'oh my god, it's a leech on my wrist'. It turned out to be the loose end of her black leather watch strap! Hat and I rolled around laughing and Cas quickly saw the funny side.
We set out alarms for 5.00, to see the dawn mountain views.
