After another train ride and two border crossings we have finally made it to Ulaanbaatar. And so far so good!

The train ride was loads of fun - most people on our carriage were tourists so it ended up being a bit of a party carriage and was lots of fun.

The border crossings were relatively painless although very long. We were held on the train for a couple of hours which just got hot and stuffy and without being able to use the loo - of course I was busting! There seems to be loads of people involved in the whole process which I guess is a throw back to the communist days - jobs for everyone!!

We are now in Ulaanbaatar - the hostel we are staying at is USD5 per night and they just can't do enough for you. They are so friendly and lovely - just awesome! We are off to a national park tomorrow and the Gobi desert the day after that - so the next blog entry should be interesting!!
