Next Monday I fly to Sabah.

First stop, Sandakan
I will be visiting an oil palm plantation to observe their internal sustainability audit.

On Friday afternoon I will make my way to Semporna where I will meet my parents and take a boat to Mabul Island. We will be staying on Mabul Island for the next 3 nights, from which we will go by boat to Sipadan to dive. I will be getting doing my Advanced Open Water course in maybe the best diving spot in the world. I hope to see some very cool things. 😊

My mum, a true-blue city-critter, is having jitters about being stuck on an island where we might not have TV and no internet and worst of all, no shops! When my father and I suggested extending the stay, a look of disappointment came over her, but she quickly recomposed herself and said, "ok lah, no choice. it's bonding with my daughter I guess!"

I will buy her some fashion magazines to keep her occupied with city-related things and pray hard there is a massage place on the island where she can get kneaded to sleep.
