Hi Guys,
Last stop Penang in Malaysia to stay at Annie's Guest House for the second time.
We knew it would be the perfect place to wind down before the long flight home as Annie, Raj and their family are truly wonderful people. Our last night they arranged a BBQ for us and the rest of the guests. Annie made an awesome Indian Chicken Curry, ( Paddy was the assistant and now has the secret recipe ) the girls were on salad duty and the boys were on BBQ duty. It was a brilliant night, we made two great friends in Laura and Chris and look forward to seeing them after their time travelling and we are not JEALOUS in the slightest that they are at the beginning of their journey. GURRRRR!!
Tears upon leaving the next day. A 5 hour bus journey to KL for our last night in South East Asia. Tears in my last curry and rice on the realisation that our trip is finally over.
KL to Stansted 14 hour flight - Smooth.
Stansted to Rushton for a lovely reunion with Stacy and Baby Lilly. Stacy and James doing a fabulous
job with Lilly who is now 10 months old and coming along great.
Rushton to Newcastle
To be greeted by Mam and Dad who I think have missed us just a little bit Haha!! Although we have been very lucky with modern technology and have been in touch almost everyday thanks to Skype. Even in the remotest of places we still managed to get online. They certainly know we are back by all our washing, ironing, shopping, unpacking, cooking and so much more. We can't wait for Christmas Day tomorrow.
xxxx THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH! xxxx
and a special thank you to Dad who has got my bike not only clean and polished but it looks brand new. A showroom masterpiece! xxxx
A thank you to all who have followed our journey and taken time out to comment on the blog and videos.
It has been an absolute amazing journey. We have enjoyed ultimate highs like 'The Elephant Sanctuary' in Chiang Mai, the 'Samoung Loop' on motorbikes, cruising 'Ha long Bay', swimming with sharks on 'Koh Tao' to name but a few. Even the lows make for a good story in
Girls on salad
Annie keeping us right. the months and years to come. Although we did not make it all the way around the World, we are both very grateful for what we have achieved and quite frankly being able to sit here and tell the story. The positive is, there is a new dream in progress, travelling around South America.
My final 'Thank You' is to Steve/Paddy. We have been the best of friends through the whole trip, not one argument or fall out! ( Only when he beat me at Scrabble ). I would not have survived this trip without you. You have been my Rock!
Example -
The incident with the feather when you kept a full bar from beating me to a pulp.
Cameron Highlands route 9a - You gave me the strength to keep going from that cliff edge otherwise I might still be there.
Campervan Wipe out! - Thank God for your cool head and getting us through in one piece.
xx Thank You, I love You Loads xx
