Reaching SK Convent
This is the first time we visited Cameron highland. We drove for approximately 4 hours from Kuala Lumpur and arrived at Cameron Highland in the afternoon. After checking in to a dormitory-like budget hotel in Tanah Rata, we thought of visiting the famous Boh Tea Farm. But it was a lil' too late in the evening to drive all the way from Tanah Rata to the tea farm. It was a long and winding road, so we change our itinerary to visit the small town of Tanah Rata for the day. We walked to the local Convent school from the hotel, the weather started to get cold and a bit foggy. The school is surrounded by many kinds of flowers, as u can see from the pic. It looks totally like a church from outside, really cool…. We also visited the Bala’s Holiday Chalet, it is located up the hill where u need to drive really carefully on the slope. The building is absolutely a british style designed, u can sit at the garden and enjoy hot tea in greenish environment. There is a stone stair case to the chalet, which we didn’t proceed further as it was only for the

guests… too bad it’s a lil bit pricy if not I would surely have chosen Bala for the stay.

A tea break at T-café is a must if u are at Cameron Highland, try out the scones, it was so so yummy!!! U can check out other food like apple pie, western or Chinese or even malay cuisines as well, all at reasonable price!!Later, we took a walk at the local market, at the same time locating the recommended steamboat restaurant called Hong Kong steamboat restaurant. The food is not bad, fresh local veggie as well as seafood were served at almost the usual price of steamboat u can find in KL.

The next day, we moved to Brinchang, a better hotel named Rosa Passadena. We went to flower farm, u can see various kinds of flowers and cactuses here. The cactus is as big as my head, and some grew in weird shapes. Next spot is the rose centre, poor place, the roses are almost all withered and dead. This place doesn’t worth for the ticket price at all. We felt really ragged after climbing the rose hill….

On the last day in Cameron Highland, we

went to strawberry farms. This is also the ultimate purpose of visit of ours.. there are many strawberry farms, we visited two. One is the Kasimani's Strawberry Farm and another is the KHM Strawberry. KHM Strawberry is a small farm where u can buy homemade strawberry jams and try out the homemade strawberry ice-cream too. On the other hand, Kasimani’s Strawberry Farm is really a big farm, the entrance is free but u need to pay for the strawberry picking! Yeah!! It’s strawberries picking, u pick ur own strawberries!! That was so much fun and excitement!!
