Well as we had decided that 2 nights in Melaka was enough for us we got up this morning and caught the bus to central station. We hadn't bought tickets to KL in advance but were approached by a tout as soon as we dared to glance towards the ticket counter (these touts are the ones we like, the ones that actually offer you something that you want and not a watch, t-shirt, pirate DVD or teeeeksi), he told us that there was a bus leaving at 10:30 (it was 10:30) so we quickly bought tickets and hurried to the bus. We were still waiting to leave 20mins later...(they try to fill as many of the seats as they can before they set off). About 1/2hr into our journey a car flashed the bus to pull over, it appeared that our bus was broken. Luckily within 5mins we were transferred to another bus. I decided we should sit at the front for an adrenalin rush 😉 The driver was getting mighty close to the cars in front, rightfully so much of the time as the cars were annoyingly just sitting in the middle lane having a jolly old Sunday drive, yes I mean you Mr BMW driver! I also noticed that the mopeds all seem to drive on the hard shoulder...not sure they're supposed to!

Queues around KL bus station were mental busy so we got off the bus a street away and walked to our hotel (this is perhaps the longest walk we've done with our full heavy bags). In the first hotel room we were given the TV didn't have a working reception (slouching in front of the TV was our planned activity for the day) so we asked the woman downstairs about changing rooms, she said that all the standard double rooms were fully booked. She severely lacked customer service skills. We were told we could pay an extra 10RM and have a deluxe double instead. We suspected she was talking B.S. but agreed as it was only an extra pound each. We then took the laundry to a shop along the road and went to the supermarket for a supply of goodies 😊 Unfortunately we went a little bit crazy and when we got to the till we didn't have enough cash on us, short by 5RM or 1GBP (oopsie), we were busy explaining to the woman that we'd have to put our family size Cadbury's orange cream back when the guy behind us insisted he'd pay the extra, what a really nice guy 😊

Our deluxe room is so nice, it has windows!
