Also, since I posted the Hong Kong Delights blog, travelblog has done some crappy restructuring to their site and most of the pictures now have to be opened individually. Sorry for the cruddy new formatting, I have no say since I don't... Read Full Entry

Apparently, business men from all over Asia use Macau as an escape to gamble their hard earned dollars away! It's the Las Vegas of Asia!

Portuguese-Chinese descendents?
Did you see the Portuguese-Chinese Eurasian descendents (there is a terms for it, but I forget)? If yes, don't worry. You can visit Malacca in Malaysia to trace the path of Portuguese-Malay descendents......

Packing it all in
Hey Backpack Banwell, I think you did the 5 hours you had justice. Sounds like you were able to get a lot done (although I am sure you would like to have done more). Can't wait to hear it all in person at Christmas!

Nothing but the best!
I must admit that you certianly remind me of the travelling uncle from 'Fraggle Rock'. All of these stories are great. When you rampage, you certainly do it in style. As for the Man situation, I am holding auditions for you while you are gone. I will try and have a few lined up for when you get back. You should really hit up the asian embassys when you get back, im sure they'd give you a great job! Discovery channel had a huge special on china, so i've been looking for you in the background, i doubt they have many people in that country. None the less, take good care, smell the roses, breath in the air, enjoy the ride! Jono

Gravesite pictures
It's not bad to take pictures of graves. Don't forget the great pyramids are graves, and Napolean was (or maybe still is) buried under l'Arc de Triomphe, among many other examples. Also, I was once told the best way to discover a city or country is to get lost in it, so it's not bad to leave your walking route. Macau definitely looks like an interesting place.
