Around Vang Vieng

Today was a kind of chill out and recovery day from yesterdays wild times on the river. It seems most people dont really make it down the 3km or rapids. Our 50 meters was actually pretty good :D. We have been going to the same bakery for breakfast every morning as there baguettes are fresh out of the oven and the fruit is delicious. You can go and buy a whole pineapple for about a dollar and they will chop of the outside and slice it up for you. It was nice to have a day walking around in the sun munching on pineapple and browsing the stores in Vang Vieng.

As with most of the other small places in Laos the main sales items are silver, silk and tourist items (t-shirts, fake designer clothes and watches and hats). Matt and I both got the Tubing in Laos tshirts which everyone has and you see all over Laos. It has become a very popular place.

Later in the evening we sat down for our last dinner in Vang Vieng and then crashed for the early wake up bus tomorrow.
