Bangkok
the monkey!!!ooooh the monkey! Hey everybody!Hope you are all doing good,as usual 😊
I'm sitting in Vang Vieng,Laos! We arrived here today and are going on to Luang Prabang tomorrow according to plans..
I left Langkawi last Wednesday and flew langkawi-kuala lumpur-bangkok in one day! I met up with Marthe, a girl from Norway! I booked two nights at a guesthouse outside of the city - next time i'll book it in the town lol! We only had two days but I think we saw enough of Bangkok! Bangkok is soooo huge and noisy, you cant escape tuktuks and people wanting your money! The first day we booked tickets up to the laos border before we got lost in some back alleys. It was in the middle of the day but frustrating enough! We was supposed to find the skytrain, a train that runs over bangkok city! yeahyeah.. we walked and we got lost and walked more before we ended up in a shady park somewhere in bangkok! We got away from there and found a tuktuk. A tuktuk can be a good thing - sometimes. He took us to the skytrain and we left for the city. walked around and saw shops and all
Bangkok
The longtail boat of that + going online to talk to people. Now..the story starts as we were going back home!
We came off the skytrain and watched a big crowd staring at something. walked over there, only to find out that it was a girl climbing in a tower above the ground and trying to jump. poor girl.. i had to check out the situation (I hope she didn't jump?) before we started walking. so..we were not quite sure about the direction so we asked a old guy, after being followed by tuktuks! we crossed the street as he said, and asked another guy. Nonono we had to cross the street back. as we again crossed,i noticed that the guy was following us,probably trying to rob us or worse. so we ran up again and asked a lady...and crossed again.. started walking on the left side (in the dark) passing lots of strange people,hookers,drugdealers..and walked into an alley. this alley lead into other alleys. we were so freaked out and we ran when a black car came driving after us lol! we found another tuktuk, who got so mad because we offered him too little,he tried to kill us in the traffic and then
Bangkok
On the longtail trip he made me give him more before he called us something bad in thai and drove off. ok this sounds weird and i dont know if anybody got the story but fucking hell people: dont walk in dark streets in bangkok! never never never never again! we were shit scared..
the next day we went to a river and took a longtail boat around! since thailand and specially bangkok is all about money,we got tricked into buying stuff in the boat and had to pay even more in the snake farm! I got to hold a monkey and a loooong snake! (not at the same time:P) the longtail boat was alot of fun but it was a shitty boat, and i thought i was going to drown! ;P
My impression of bangkok isnt all that,it was too big and crowded for me! Nobody is smiling and everybody wants your money, even when you dont suspect it..
We took the night train to the border in to Laos. I kept throwing strawberry cookies at the people working at the train!!Nono don't worry, just sharing the goods! One of the guys working there had to sleep on the floor... I couldnt believe
bangkok - snake farm
the cute snake around my neck :) my eyes! It looked cold enough.. Arrived the border 9am in the morning after eating old train food, which by the way came right out again! the first thing I noticed was how much nicer people was outside the city. Once over in Laos we shared a car with a older guy,and he talked about communism and shit all the day. god i wanted to chop off my ears........
Found a nice guesthouse in Vientiane! Vientiane is a nice city, but not for more than one day or two days. it's perfect for relaxation with small streets and its so easy to walk around without getting lost!!! we walked around and saw the city, lots of temples and curious monks staring at us! we met the communistman again while eating and he still couldnt shut up. I freaked when I saw two nasty bugs running around 1 meter from me .P The locals have lots of markeds and even does their night gym outside in the street - working out to Aqua and Barbie girl...Today we left for Vang Vieng (and had to pay 50.000 kipp for it,about 50NOK).. we got so screwed, got promised a nice bus and got a shitty bus.
Bangkok
longtailboat driver allright the bus was allright but we still got screwed. Vang Vieng is a good place, really small. the streets are covered in mud and they are building everywhere, as in the rest of Laos!
We are going up to Luang Prabang tomorrow i think.. i dont have time to write anymore because everybody keeps talking to me on MSN! Im going to update this with pictures soon so stay tuned (dont have the time now sorry.....)Love you all and write me email anytime if something is up!! See ya people :D
