The 6 hour minivan ride from Luang Prabang provided outstanding scenery as we climbed and decended our way through the lucious green mountains of the region. We also passed through a bunch of small villages sporting bamboo houses and shacks. Along the way the people would return my waves with big smiles. I join a game of Sepak Takraw (a volleyball type game where you can not use your hands) with a few Lao boys. I had just headed the ball back over the rope as the young man is about to head it back to my side.

On this very rare occasion, someone grabbed my camera and took this photo of Juli (one of the Spaniards) and myself as we enjoyed Beer Loa at the Red Lion bar on the riverside.

As you can see by their captivated looks, travelers here love to sit and eat while watching reruns of the tv show FRIENDS on DVD. I am not sure if it because there are alot of Israelis in town or because the show is so immensely popular.

For the last cave we visited, we had to float on tubes, pull ourselves along with a rope and wear a miners light on our heads.
