Relaxing

This will be short. We're about to go tubing down the river. You rent a tube for $3 and they drive you far down the river. Hop into the river with your tube until you reach a bar. Someone has a long bamboo stick to pull you in. Have a beer, a swing on their rope and then continue down the river until you see another bar you'd like to stop at. Some have planks to jump off of others rope or swings. There's even some guys sitting on rocks in the middle of the river selling beer if you just want "take away"😊 Great fun!

Just letting you all know where we are. We're going to Luang Prabang tomorrow to do some serious shopping😊
We'll try to be in Northern Thailand by December 1st.
Loas is a beautiful, relaxing country!!!! It's just lovely on your eyes!
We'll think of you while we're floating in our tubes down the river😉

River surfing....
Go ahead and rub it in.....especially the part that you shared in a private email as follows......."Tubing today!! We rent a tube for $3 and go with the current down the river... stopping at sunbathing rafts and bars on the way down the river... they also have ropes to swing off into the river.... fun fun!."......now that is a real lazy, hazy day of summer...like the song says.

Jessie, I've been loving your blog! I don't want to sound condescending, but you have grown SO MUCH since your trip and I'm sure you must feel it inside yourself also. This is why I think travel is such an amazing experience - better than any school or collection of books, in my opinion. I was moved by your experiences with the poverty-stricken people there and how you helped them in small, meaningful ways. We all miss you so much and I can't wait to give you a big hug!! We'll spend some time working on your article when you get back. No rush - we'll take our time. LOVE, Andrew
