Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang

It was finally time to leave and by now we were both ready! With a struggle, we packed up our belongings and were glad to get out of a very damp and dirty room. At 9.30am, we got picked up and taken to the bus station where we boarded a very hot bus with no A/C. The bus was full of travellers and plenty of people we had met the previous week!

Around 5pm we arrived in Luang Prabang. The journey was very slow indeed but some of the scenery was fantastic as we weaved up and down various mountain roads. Some girls on the bus suggested we stay in place called Spicy Laos. We shared a tuk-tuk and the place seemed to have a good atmosphere so we decided to stay.

We spent the evening enjoying a large Laos meal with everyone in the guesthouse and stayed up chatting well into the early hours. It was a nice relaxing evening compared to the constant party in Vang Vieng!
