What can I say about this place. Like an Oasis in the desert that probobly shouldn't be here. The bus trip took us through stunning scenery, & through many poor villages in the mountains. 8 hours of travelling on a public bus. When we got here, this place is like any European trendy City. Not very big, but very wealthy in comparison with the rest of the country. I felt guilty to be here after seeing the poverty on the way over, but I guess that tourism is bringing in some money to the surrounding local ethnic comunities.
Having said all that, LP has some of the most stunning scenery I have ever seen, I just hope that as the county developes, at least some of the money goes to where it is most needed.
