Final photographic memories of Luang Prabang

I was a bit upset yesterday -- it seemed all my travel plans would not be working out and the chaotic conditions on the street here were a bit much for me after village atmosphere Laos. But today is a brand new day, the sun is shining, we have been sitting all evening with a bunch of "internationals" (farangs) at one of the beer places on the corners -- you sit on little stools and get served very cheap bear. Some (most) people imbibe a great deal. I don't drink but I still had a good time. Anyway, late now, have been walking all day. We booked a tour to Halong Bay for tomorrow and the forecast is good -- we are indeed lucky. Now it seems that we can go up to Sapa after all -- weather is clearing up. Too tired to write more -- will post some photos of Luang Prabang instead.
