My beautiful purse that Robert bought me
We left Kappa Tangoku and headed for Nagoya on our way to Ise. Nothing really exciting happened here. The bullet train was cool those things go 300KMH, about 180 mph. That was neat, and it gave us a chance to write some post cards. When we were sitting at one of the many train stations we have seen there was this little girl who was probably about 4 or 5 walking with her family. She must have never really seen white people or we looked really interesting. She was staring at us as she was walking; she walked right into a metal pole. She hit it pretty hard, we heard the ding as she hit and she started to cry. Her mother and grandfather were with her, and we heard her Grandfather tell her that she should watch where she was going, her mother couldn’t stop laughing. It was pretty funny but we held in our laughs until they were out of ear shot. After that we boarded our train and left ended up in Nagoya. The train station was attached to a 9 story mall. It had 7 above ground and 2 basements. There was so much food in the

basement markets it made us hungry. So we went up 8 floors to the restaurants and ate. Other than that we didn’t see much of the city and just went on our way. The Shinkansen ride ended and we arrive in time to check into our Ryokan. We check in and went for a walk. Ise Shi was very different than what we have seen so far. It seems that the city wants to preserve the architecture of the 1930s and 1940s we read a brochure that was passed out to homeowners outlining how and what they could do to the outside of their homes. The nice thing was that if they could not afford it the city would be able to help them. After we walked a good ½ hour and I filmed a little it got dark and we headed back. The Ryokan was a lot like the Onsen we stayed at. We finally got to do our laundry, it cost us 500 yen because we couldn’t figure out how to use the damn coin laundry machine. After that we passed out.
