Back to the big city

Back to Tokyo today leaving the snow behind.

Yesterday we went to a different resort in the Hakuba area. There are multiple small ski areas that you can get to from one base. Only in Japan would you get people to put little plastic hats on their snowboards to take them into the gondola with you!

The light was a bit flat and it started to snow in the afternoon continuing as we left today - typical, powder for the day we left.



Lunch on the shinkansen was another Russian roulette of rice triangles and this time only 1 was bad - I really wish they would put pictures on the packaging!

Since we were in Tokyo early we got a little more sight seeing done. Sadly the photography museum was closed but happily the beer museum was open!
