well hey hey,

arrived!! 12hours later and we made it to Tokyo! amazin, who would have believed it i would have managed to get myself this far! crazy to think but so so cool!

im writing this entry on memory, ive left my actual travel diary back in the hostel, but heres hoping i do ok on that!

arrived and took absolutely AGES to find our hostel, for some reason tokyo likes to number their streets in a weird code-like form and in addition half of them are in japanese....(funny that being in japan 'n all, hehe, ignorance is bliss!) but we made it, and god was it worth the wait, our first night in a private room all to myself with tv, shower, double bed, etc etc all i needed to relax myself and slip into unconsciouness through jet lag! haha! but not before we made it along to an ancient temple where there were late night markets and food stalls! had myself some fried rice (found out there was prawns in it and i bolked! hehe) then went back to the hotel, all in all a very looooooooooong day!

next day we moved on to our proper hostel, and once again....we couldnt find it, i hated walkin the streets with my MASSIVE rucksack, so we crashed down and i went a wandering to find our hostel, see me?? not just a pretty face! managed to find it and we got to dump our stuff before heading out to the city!

and what a city! everything is just so big but compact! think of this, we would walk down a high street, the japanese climbn floors for a highg street, theres shops, big shops, being advertised on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th floor...etc, then on to the next building we have once again the equivalent of a high street, really cool to see! climbing 4 floors to get to a macdonalds was weird! hehe

end of the day we crashed out after dinner in an english pub, we met a couple who were initially really nice n all, but turned out to be a bitty weird, the guy was a jazz musician and she was a lawyer, but for some reason they happily knocked back glasses of absynthe and continued in their strange talks on life, love, money, etc...so we made a sharp exit! but still jet lagged we found it really tough to sleep! still waking up at 4am bright-eyed and bushy tailed, not too good!

next day we went to the public parks where the ancient museums were so we decided to go culture ourselves for a little bit, walkin round the displays like zombies, quite funny when you think of it, we were tryin to convince ourselves that we were awake! hehe

our last night in tokyo we decided to get an early night, but not for want of goin to sleep! hehe, but funny thing happened when i got in, the reception woman pulled me aside and asked me if 'this is your bra??' mortified i looked down to see my brand new bravissimo in her hands! tryin to laugh it off and get away as quickly as i could i grabbed it and ran! apparently i left it in the showers that morning, oops!! hehe

so next day, we headed off to the airport, with huge bags in tow.... i had already dumped some clothes out it! hehe, can you believe it!!

next stop...... Singapore!!!! woohoo!!
