The typhoons seem to have given up for a bit, so I headed to Ueno Park today. It's a large park, full of Museums and homeless people living under blue tarps with many cats as pets. I only went to one museum, and that was the Tokyo National Museum. It has five buildings for different regions: Asian (non-Japanese, containing things from Korea/China/Middle East), Western (closed today), and three buildings containing various Japanese art and relics. It was all very interesting.

This is a very old blade from a Naginata, which is kind of like a spear, but can be used with a slashing motion.

There's no sense of scale here, but this bow was very large.
