A trip that I had long anticipated had occured finally. Even planned on solo travel but great to have a fren, MX, to come along.

With much excitement and fatigue, we arrived at Narita. Got a little bit frenzied coz didn't obtain the arrival form onboard... when we got hold of a Mandarin form, we had realised the phrases were not truly Mandarin.. it was simply Kanji lor.

After exchaging our Japan Rail Pass, we quickly boarded the Narita Express train to Ikebukuro, where our hotel would be.

After some quick shopping at the lifestyle store, Loft, we had long used up the energy given by the meal on the plane.... Then we managed to find a ramen stall recommended by a guidebook for our lunch. Sss.. slurp slurp.. the noodle was q q n the broth was tasty... downside was it served very fatty 'char siew'.. This was the beginning of our gournet ramen tour.
