Shooting Stars, Sitting Bull & Kellogg's Bikinis!

Katie in Shizuoka & Amy back in Japanland

I was excited for Kate to see where I live in Japan and party with us! We had many great nights out. One night after great burgers at Sitting Bull, We went up to a lookout at Nihondaira hill. It overlooks Shizuoka city but is a bit of hike in total darkness (ok maybe only about a 5 minute walk, but it feels like forever - I'm lucky to have a boyfriend who will piggy back me!) We had ice creams and lay on the warm ground for about an hour just watching the sky and waiting for shooting stars. We saw so many, some real big ones too! Once we made sure we had all seen the same one, we began our trek back through the overgrown bushes. We had lost a person, Mario, but knew he would be ahead somewhere ready to scare us! Even though we knew it, we were still scared when he jumped out! We also saw some bats and really cool fireflies shining in the darkness!

Amy was also back in Japan after her big Eurotrip adventure, so we planned a night out with everyone. We had a great night going out for dinner at our favourite restaurant first, then partying at Boozer, introducing Kate our local.

(So Kate, you're now one blog ahead of my brother! But he's coming in December too! Don't worry you'll have plenty of chances to visit me somewhere else overseas in the next few years!)

I will never forget this, I have never seen so many shooting stars in my life, the next day I read in the paper that there was a meteor shower. We saw some bats too!

The walk on the way back was scary enough without Mario jumping out to scare us!
This is such a great action shot because the shock of Mario jumping out made Katie press the shutter button on her camera haha!!!
