Oh my God!!
It is so beautiful here!! We are staying in a traditional Japanese room and there is a hot bath overlooking Mount Fuji. Today we took a bus up to the 5th station on the mountain which had the most amazing views, see photos!! We only had a few hours so after taking our photos we decided to go on a Bear Grylls expedition into the snow where no one dares to tread at this time of year..The Japanese only climb the mountain in July and August and never do anything at the wrong time! We wandered into the snow with our picnic and found a beautiful viewing platform after ending up 2 foot down in the snow in some places. Then I told Steve there were snow bears around and he got scared!! It felt we were the only people in the world who had ever sat there and the view of the summit was amazing all covered in snow! 5th station is at 2305m so not as high as we'll be at Everest but still amazing!! Our trek must have tired us out coz we slept all the way back on the bus!!
This evening we
Mount Fuji
5th Station on Mount Fuji have been for a run around Lake Kawaguchi co which was is also lovely with brilliant views of the mountain.
