So last night i was super helpful in making sure no cocktails were wasted they even put alcohol in the ones that were for display so i drank the as well haha.
New day new adventure and today's adventure is Arashiyama although the weathers not to good but I'm sure it wont rain to heavily haha famous last words. I took the train from about 20 minutes to get there and then quickly found my way to the bamboo path via another temple that required me parting with my money for entry. When i was walking through the path it was impossible to guess how many bamboo trees were actually there maybe thousands lining each side of the pathway and easily deep enough on each side to not be able to see where they ended like a jungle of completely straight trees strange indeed. As i headed back towards the road my poor little legs decided they had, had enough and disappeared from under me and before i knew it i was face diving towards the floor everybody tried to help me but i jumped up so fast like totally fine didnt hurt at all and went hobbling off down
the street....ouch that really did hurt but at least i didnt rip the knee in my leggings like i did last time i fell over bonus. I continued hobbling down the road crossed the river and headed towards the monkey park nobody told me however that it was at the top of a rather steep hill bought my ticket and started climbing dam it was high and because it was wet i started thinking im totally gonna fall down the mountain here but i made it to the top all be it a little wet from both rain and the sweat of climbing.
Luckily just as i arrived it was feeding time for the monkeys the staff started calling out and monkeys came from every corner over the roof up the stairs down the hill they really know what dinner time is. I started filming and taking as many pictures as i could of the monkeys without getting to close to scare them. After the initial feeding time we were allowed to go inside a small building were we could purchase snacks for them and feed them through the rails of the building were we would be safer. It
was so amazing watching the monkeys shout at each other to show dominance and rank the smaller monkeys wouldn't come to the windows for fear of the big ones and if they were brave enough they literally were shouted at by alpha monkeys interesting to watch. As i made my way back to Dow the hill one of the staff pointed at come monkeys sat in a tree and told me to be careful as they like to pee on people walking past well i found this hilarious nothing says get out of my house like peeing on somebody's head.
Last day in Kyoto and I decided to splash out a little and go for a geisha photo shoot i had all of the white make up done with the bright red lips and a heavy wig. They wrap you up so tight inside the kimonos you cant even sit down amusing trying to get on my knees for one of the photos the girl had to hold my hands so i could lower down. The pictures are pretty amazing and something i will be able to keep forever and maybe show my kids in 20/30 years
how cool their mum looks as a geisha. i had a little time to kill in the evening before my bus so i went for one last walk around the old Gion area and even spotted a few real geishas going about their business. So time to wave goodbye to Kyoto and head for the bus station late night bus all the way to fujisan should be interesting glad that i paid a little extra to get the nicer bus hopefully wont be as painful and get some sleep as i want to get some stuff done when i get there.
