Crowded, but worth it. Worth going early.

Incredibly crowded. Obviously worth it.

I can't remember where this was. There are so many in Kyoto, many of them empty. Ryoan-ji is super-famous and super-crowded, but the others (like this one) are just as fine.

There are trails everywhere around Kyoto.

You can feed the sacred deer at Nara. They bow to you when you bow to them.
