Not much else to say.
Samir's article. Back on Gilli Air, probably a week ago (yes, it's been that long) before we went night fishing, we all went snorkeling (even Alia, who's leg is better now). We snorkeled in a current, above a coral reef. There were mostly black fish, but also the regular confused pinstripe fish, tie dye fish, angel fish, bright blue fish and ugly, fat, orange-lip fish. We swam the current 3 or 4 times before getting bored (believe it), and heading back to shore. That night (as promised), we went night fishing in deep waters. I caught a medium sized yellow fish and a red snapper, which is a red and white fish that (you guessed it) snaps. Dad got it cooked and he ate it the next day. I tried some, but it was pretty tasteless. That day, we also went to a place that was pretty deep for snorkeling. Because it was deeper, the fish were bigger, but they were all on the sea floor so they couldn't bite off our heads. Also, because it was deeper, there were a few........(drum roll please).........turtles!!!! We first saw one way underneath us, and then one swimming along the sea floor. I

The balance thingy is kind of like a wing on the side of the boat that keeps it all balanced.
followed that one for a while (don't underestimate the powers of the frog kick) until it met up with another one. The new one swam off, and then the first turtle had to come up to breathe. When it did, it let me swim close enough to touch it, but I didn't. (I mean, look at the size of those chompers!) Finally, our legs hurt enough to climb back onto the boat. We went to another Gilli Island which had a perfect white sand beach, which we swam at for bit, then went back to our hotel. The next day we took the cramped boat back to Lombok and then a ferry to Bali. We stayed there for a night, then took a plane to Sumatra. We stayed at a busy city for a night, then grabbed a rented car and a driver and got out of there faster than a cow in McDonalds. The driver took us down to a extinct volcanic lake called lake Toba, and we got on a deserted ferry to an island the size of Singapore. The past two days here we just rented motorbikes, bicycles and went to museums and stone chairs where people were executed and eaten and waterfalls (we tried at least). With a hope to be hugging orangutans tomorrow, this reporter is signing off. (To much sun for Samir is right)
