Bali is a place I'd always wanted to "experience", and I was lucky enough to get down there for a short week before leaving Asia. Flying on a night flight to Denpasar from Shanghai via Singapore, I arrived on this lovely island at noon on Friday, July 3. That night I attended a beautiful performance of "Legong" at the Ubud Palace.

The next day, I arranged for Agung to take me on his motorbike to see various places in Ubud

Antonio Blanco, a Spaniard who later married a Balinese dancer and was given a piece of land by Sukarno, has been nicknamed "the Dali of Bali." Easy to see why!
