This one had his own clothes on.....

On the way to Bali (Indonesia) we stopped at Singapore. It was like a city from the 22 century ,all chrome glass and air conditioning.
We stayed in a Massive beautiful hotel called Crowne plaza ,
It was awesome we were only staying 1 night but the room was good enough to live in, with a flat screen TV 2 big comfy double beds a giant bathroom with a bath and a shower warm towels and a dressing gown for every one, plus a huge pool.
We went on a sky train, which really goes in the sky, without taking off. They were absolutely immaculate, there wasn't a single piece of chewing gum or rubbish on the floor anywhere in Singapore.

Bali....One word to describe Bali is HOT. Another way to describe Bali is HUMID. As long as you have a swimming pool, a good restaurant and some strong air conditioning, sun cream and sun hat, flip flops and a parasol then you are OK.

In Bali I am a millionaire as there is 17,300 rupiah to the pound. If you buy a really posh meal, in the most expensive place then it only costs about £5.

Behind the entrance you can see the sea

The temple we went to visit was interesting but too hot, it was called Pura Rambat Siwi. The reason it was extremely sacred is because the guy that built it, cut off some of his hair, put it in a box and buried it in the centre of the temple - Nice! It was too hot so we legged it down to the sea, to cool off.

We jumped into the sea, but as you probably know Bali is famous for its ginormous waves. Even dad couln't get out to the big breakers.

In Bali if the statue is of a naked person or animal they dress it in clothes, this was explained by the caretaker in that even statues would want to keep its dignity as everything has a spirit including statues.

Kadek is a girl I met on the way back from the beach the other day. She asked to see if we could come over, We said we would the next day. When we got there her father cut open four coconuts, and put straws in them. He handed them out one to each of us, it was delicious and did not taste like
Coconuts with Kadek..Coconuts with Kadek..Coconuts with Kadek..

Oliver had the biggest, but couldn't finish it!
coconuts do at home in the UK.

Kadek and I are going to be penfriends. Kadek has explained to me that she had other penfriends before but had lost contact.

Not bad!!!
Looks like you have settled into Bali quite nicely. Brilliant pool and it seems Oliver is taking to swimming quite well. I hope you read this before leaving Bali as I wanted to highly recommend you travel up to the northern rice fields in Bali and visit a small town called Ubud. It's a small artists village and has the coolest shops and cafes. Also, it's home to the 'Monkey forest' which i'm certain you'd love... just careful with what you carry as the monkeys will shoot out of the trees and pull at anything you have in your hands. I hope you continue to enjoy and thanks for the update. Please say hello to your parents and to Oliver. Luca also says hi! Talk to you soon. Erik xoxoxo
