Matt and Megan

After more than 10 years together, Matt and Megan recently got engaged and are planning their wedding for May of 2012. They spent the first of their 8 years together living in Berkeley, Miami, and abroad. Matt attended UC Berkeley, then joined Megan in Miami where she was attending the University of Miami and studying Marine Policy. Hindu ceremonies

we were in Bali during the Hindu New Year and there were ceremonies on the beach everyday...we left the day before the last day, in which tourists were prohibited from leaving their hotel for the day and had to prepare all their own food in advance.

Women giving offerings

offerings are made in banana leaf boxes, but often include plastic wrappers that you find floating by you while swimming in the ocean. The offerings literally litter the beach and are a huge trash problem, though it's very interesting to watch the women go through the ceremony.
