Preview of the World after the "Mayan Doomsday"

The usual 5:30AM fireworks call. But I found out what they celebrate. It's the birthday of a 14th Century Guru. But why they need to make noise at 5:30AM is beyond me.
Went to the Red Fort today. But except for the gigantic walls and gates there isn't much to see inside. Other than decaying buildings. The back wall is even missing entirely. But the Fort once must have been vast by Western standards.
Then I strolled to the Jama Majid Mosque. Also a gigantic building complex. But how people "live" in the area around it is horrifying. If you wanna get a realistic view of what the time after the apocalypse would look like, that's the place! Oh wait...in 23 days you'll find out anyway! Never mind! 😉
Met my friend Mirabelle and her family for dinner and had a great time catching up.

Der uebliche 5:30 Uhr Feuerwerksweckruf. Aber wenigstens hab' ich herausgefunden was die feiern. Den Geburtstag eines Gurus aus dem 14.Jhd. Aber warum sie ausgerechnet jeden Morgen um 5:30 damit anfangen muessen entzieht sich meiner Vorstellungskraft.
Ging zum Red Fort heute. Aber ausser den gigantischen Mauern und Toren ist innen nicht allzu viel zu sehen. Ausser broeckelnde Gebaeude. Die 4.Mauer existiert gar nicht mehr. Aber das Fort muss einmal ein riesiges Areal umfasst haben. Danach wanderte ich zur Jama Majid Moschee. Ebenso ein grosser Gebaeudekomplex. Aber wie die Leute in dem Viertel herum "leben" ist schockierend. Falls jemand einen Eindruck bekommen moechte, wie die Zeit nach der Apokalypse aussehen wuerde, hier ist ein Schaufenster. Ach waere mal...in 23 Tagen ist es ja schon soweit! Na dann vergesst's! 😉
Traf Mirabelle und ihre Familie zum Abendessen und es war schoen sich unverhofft mal wiederzusehen.
