Not sure what to do....

So it's less than 5 months until my India trip and I got laid off from my job. I'm torn between what I perceive as responsibility (not going) and what may be a once in a lifetime chance to go.

So far I'm not willing to let the trip go. I will put enough money to go in my savings and hope for the best.
